#ThursdayDoors The Louvre Museum in #Paris

I haven’t been to Paris for a long time, but my daughter was there over Easter, and I asked her to send me some nice doors, so she sent me these beautiful doors in and around The Louvre Museum, in Paris. I hope you like them!

I love this mixture of traditional and new we can see here, the solid and massive archway contrasting with the glass pyramid inside the courtyard.

And finally, she was lucky enough to be in Paris on a full moon night, and she also sent me this picture, which I’d like to share with you.

  1. Lovely photos! Sorry to hear there was another shooting in Paris today – I hope it Doesn’t get so bad there that tourists get discouraged. Although I suspect that is what the terrorists want

  2. Nice of your daughter! It also has been a long time ago I’ve been there, but after for two hours waiting before able to get in, who thinks of taking shots of the doors? So, am happy to see these beautiful buildings again (as well as dragging my then, two teens, to the Louvre, which is more of an adult thing to do).

    1. I also never thought of taking photos of doors until I started taking part in this challenge. My daughter’s living in Bratislava and constantly travelling around Europe. I keep asking her for photos of doors, She knows what they’re for, but I’m sure she thinks I’m nuts😂

      1. Haha, that’s pretty common our kids think their parents are nuts. But it’s awesome you have a good enough relationship with her that she takes the door pics for you😍

      2. Thank you.💗 My relationship with my daughters and my son is one of the things I’m proudest of in my life, atm, although I’m aware that relationships are ongoing and you have to work hard at them, at least I do.
