#WordlessWednesday ‘Of Rivers and Novels’ #amwriting

Every river like every novel

Is born of a single drop, idea or word,

Growing into a tiny trickle

In a shallow pond

Pushing along in search of a wider berth

Unforgettable beginnings

Clear and pure is the source

Of inspiration

Time to pick up my pen and write…

Pictures taken at Fontibre, Spain, at the source of the river Ebro, one of the longest rivers in Spain, where I’m fortunate enough to be spending a few days.
