Sue’s picture prompt reminded me of the Beatles‘ song Blackbird, so here’s the Tanka inspired by both the song and the picture.
Blackbird, Learn to Fly
Crow perched on dry branch
Must mend broken wings to fly
All your life waiting
for this moment to be free
Longing to glide far away
