Not Child’s Play
Rascals watch her play,
She’s the queen of the castle,
She’ll reign forever
And ever, hallelujah!
Queen of queens wears fresh, green crown.

Morning has broken,
New day dawns over still woods,
Sun smiles, hearts rejoice.

Photos taken early this morning travelling to Malaga.

Eat, drink, laugh, sing, pray,
Joyous day, hope in rebirth,
Miracles galore.

Wishing you a very happy Christmas Day🎄🎉🎁🎊🎆 May miracles come your way❤

Waning Winter Sun
Seagulls frolicking
Above children cavorting,
While tourists relax,
Under waning winter sun.
Memories of summers past.

Shades of gold and red,
Memories of Christmas past,
Hearts both smile and weep.

I’m feeling happy and excited, planning meals and family reunions, yet nostalgic as Christmas approaches.
There’s so much to look forward to, but also so many people to remember and miss.
Here’s a poem for the person I miss most ❤ every day.
A Christmas Wish
If you were here with me,
Right now,
I’d be twice as happy.
If you could hold my hand,
Once again,
I’d be twice as brave.
If I could phone you now,
One more time,
I’d hear your wise advice.
If I could hear your voice,
Once more,
I’d laugh and jump and cry.
If we could talk and plan,
Like we would,
We’d find a way ahead.
If we could sit and chat,
Today,
You’d help me see the light.
If only I could have
One Christmas wish,
I’d wish to be with you again,
Just once.
For Elsa❤

If you come inside
You’re sweetest tooth you will delight.

Coffee, tea and cake
All of your worries will take.

If shared with good friends
You’ll find ways to make amends.

In Ice Cream Café
All worries will fly away.

Many of life’s daily worries seem even smaller after a chat with a friend, and if you also share some tea or coffee in a nice coffee shop, perhaps things won’t seem so bad, after all, ‘a problem shared is a problem halved.’

Sometimes the sun’s gone, hiding
behind fluffy, cloudy sky.
Sometimes the rain comes, bringing
a fresh start to a new day.
Sometimes stormy days wipe out
stagnant, sluggish, stuffy air.
Sometimes the weather must change
before it can get better.

Sometimes you need to remember
we’re counting on you to shine through.
For A.

The moon in daylight
Must feel very out of place
Alone in blue sky
Missing twinkling stars. Sometimes
The sky’s too bright to be loved.

Displaced, waning moon
Staring at the glorious sun
In cloudless, blue sky.
Everyone ignores pale moon
While the bright sun is shining.

Stop, please come inside
and see, the treasures I’ve kept
just for you to see.
Some are carefully hidden,
Surprises await inside.

I love wandering around the streets of new, and known, towns and cities. I always look out for doors for this challenge!
And because I’m a curious and creative writer, I always wonder what’s beyond an open door…
wandering the streets
peeking behind open doors
looking for treasures

I took the first three photos in Cordoba and the last two in Reinosa, both cities are in Spain.

Still Autumn
Autumn leaves still fall,
Shades of brown, blue and orange,
Green grass cloaked in gold.
